Engineering proteins to their full potential.

Most proteins used in medicine and industry today were selected because they were available rather than because they were ideal. The gap between what naturally occurring proteins can do and what purpose-built engineered variants can do is enormous, and largely untapped.

EvoProt exists to close that gap. We engineer proteins for specific tasks: building binders from first principles, rescuing clinical candidates that have failed development thresholds, and pushing enzymes beyond standard operating conditions.

"There is an enormous gap between what natural proteins do and what engineered ones can."

Maroš Huličiak

Maroš Huličiak

Co-founder · Protein Engineer

Maroš spent his career pushing the boundaries of protein engineering. He has deep experience in optimizing structure, function, and stability in engineered proteins. Since completing his PhD at Charles University in Prague, his experience spans postdoctoral research at Emory University and leading the Center of Molecular Structure at the Czech Academy of Sciences.

Daniel Berdár

Daniel Berdár

Co-founder · Physical Chemist

Daniel is a physical chemist with a background in molecular modelling and the physics of biomolecular interfaces. He is especially interested in studying the precise physical forces that determine how proteins or nucleic acids bind, fold, and behave, and in effect how these forces can be harnessed to design better molecules.

Why EvoProt

Simultaneous Multi-Property Optimization

Most assays optimize one property at a time. We maintain selective pressure on multiple properties simultaneously: thermostability, solubility, expression, activity, and specificity, mirroring how natural selection actually works, just orders of magnitude faster.

Integrated Screening Platform In-House

We run a flexible, high-throughput screening workflow in-house, selecting and refining variants using directed evolution enriched with rigorous computational pre-filtering and targeted modifications to effectively identify robust candidates.

End-to-End Scientific Ownership

Our team is made up of seasoned protein engineers, not project managers. We remain hands-on through every cycle, and we're invested in your molecule's success as deeply as your internal team.
